It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.

This switch has been carefully removed from USA test equipment.
Looks like a pretty ordinary SPDT switch EXCEPT it has a nice "locking" feature ... to change the state of the switch, the shaft needs to be pulled slightly towards the user and then it operates as a normal miniature toggle switch. No accidental "flipping of the switch" is possible as a deliberate movement of the toggle lever needs to be made in order for it to operate.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Locking or inhibited change of switch state is achieved by a raised section at the front of the switch body and the only way the toggle lever can get "past" this raised section is by pulling it slightly towards the user.

Each switch solder tag has been cleaned of any previous wiring but not all solder has been removed from the tags, no "dags" though!
