Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.

This ceramic wirewound power resistor is BRAND NEW, old stock
IRH (International Resistance Holdings Pty Ltd) were a very respectable, stock exchange listed Australian manufacturer (factories in Prestons Victoria and Kingsgrove,DeeWhy and Marrickville NSW) of electronic components, particularly resistors around the 1960's ~ 1970's.

Wirewound ~ Ceramic body
Value: 22R (Ohm)
Power rating: 20 Watt
Tolerance: 10% (not marked but I batch tested a number of these and they all measure in the band 20R5 ~ 21R7)
Termination: Spade connectors
Metal support bracket is integral to the resistor (you would need to bend the pins to remove it) and makes a very secure support for the resistor
Dimensions: 62.95mm L x 12.5mm x 12.75mm
Metal support bracket is at right angles to the spade terminals of the resistor and raises the resistor 6mm off the supporting surface
Bracket has a single hole (4mm diameter) for a bolt
