NEW Old stock
Ex workshop spare parts and small manufacturing stock
ALL components have been sourced through reputable local distributors such as RS Electronics, Farnell, WES and Rockby (Victoria) or direct from the manufacturer where possible
Here is something you don't see everyday! A resistor that doesn't resist, this is manufactured as a ZERO OHM resistor by Beyschlag (Germany) and as a result it has these pieces of information "missing"
NO tolerance listed
NO wattage listed (but as these "resistors" are of the same physical size as the 0.6W power rated resistors, I wouldn't be pushing these above that level of power)
NO traditional colour bands on the resistor, BLACK centre band ONLY
Blue body
You might call this a "piece of thin wire!" and in fact these were used in PCB trace jumpering, instead of using a piece of wire.
BRIEF HISTORY:
Like many of the other components I am seeking new workshops for, you can tell these are dated, not because of the component itself but the packaging.
Beyschlag was a well known manufacturer of high quality passive components born as a "spin off" from the very respected behemoth, Philips Electronics. As happens often in the business world, Beyschlag was "swallowed up" into the empire of Vishay around 2002.
