Ex workshop spare parts
BRAND NEW Unused Old Stock
Oh my word! Yes, the days of low voltage low current electromechanical relay switching have long since passed, principally replaced by SSR's and similar but a relay can still provide a nice simple switching solution, particularly in medium current power switching e.g main supply "drop out" and switching to locally sourced power from solar/batteries in the workshop.
Potter & Brumfield (USA) began around the early 1930's and were a very well known name in the world of electromechanical components. These days they are a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Ltd (Germany)
POTTER & BRUMFIELD - Power Relay
Made in USA
Construction: Open Frame
Type: T90N1D12-9
9V Coil 98 Ohm Resistance
SPST (Normally open)
Contact material is Silver & Cadmium
Contact is rated 30A up to 277V AC
PCB mounting
FULL physical details are available (I have the full datasheet for this relay) but in general terms the relay requires 28mm x 23mm x 15mm "real-estate" on the PCB
NOTE: if you are servicing some industrial equipment and it appears to be a T90N Series relay but within an enclosure, just remove the snap-on enclosure and it is likely you will find this relay inside - enclosures for these open frame relays used to be available separately. I no longer have any cover enclosures though.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
