HISTORY:
Keithley Instruments (USA) specialise in high quality data acquistion equipment and have been around since the mid 1940's. Around 2010 the company changed ownership and became a subsidiary of Tektronix.
This digital module is the 'brains' of the 7002 and also provides communications with the 'outside world". This board has been completely tested as it was installed in an almost 100% functional 7002 however the VFD and one SMPS were not 100% so the various working modules from that 'donor' system have been parted out.
This module is mounted on the left-hand side, front to back direction and behind the side panel.

Before servicing your 7002, follow ESD safety measures
Easy to fit, just remove the left side panel screws and you will see the digital module. Remove the cables (plug/sockets), remove the mounting screws and the module easily lifts out. For simple service such as battery replacement you don't even need to remove the module. Fitting is just the reverse of the disassembly and then go to the TEST menu and run any and all tests e.g system test, comms tests, display tests and LED tests, to ensure everything looks fine.
Prior to removing this module that is exactly what I did, went into TEST mode then undertook every test that made sense (I had no cards fitted) and there were no reported errors and signs that anything was amiss.
To ensure this A74199 digital module remains in pristine condition, it has been placed within a sealed ESD bag and it will be supplied this way.
