HISTORY:
My primary interests have always been electronics and the 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.
I have never really taken to film and am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.
While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm is not my area of expertise, I am learning fast! and my training in electronics helps too!
If this lamp is of interest to you, it is up to you to establish that this is the correct lamp for your projector
SPECIAL NOTE:
Confused by the packaging, I was!
The outer box is OSRAM (ENGLAND) which also has GEC marked on one side
It is what is inside that matters .... this is a vintage WOTAN 4 pin long envelope projector lamp, details below relate to the lamp inside
WOTAN - Film Projector lamp
NEW
Old spare parts stock
Circa 1940's ~ 50's ? I have valves packaged the same way and they are from the immediate Post War II period
Made in Germany
Type: Incandescent Lamp
Part # 58.8107
12V 100W
Comes with the original mounting instruction sheet and the corrugated wrap-around cardboard protection
I seriously doubt the outer OSRAM box is the original, but it fits inside nicely anyway!
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW
Old Spare Stock
Packaging is all very clean
Outside of the box is clean if somewhat aged, we all go that way eventually!
The top of the box is marked as
A1/193 12V 100W 4 Pin
BA21S
I have opened the box to check the contents ...
As explained above, when I looked inside I was greeted by a grinning WOTAN lamp, not OSRAM at all!
Looks to be absolutely untouched until today when it was removed for inspection and testing
I have checked this lamp, both physically and electrically
The light Brown base cement (where the centre contact area is) is sound and not crumbling
The DC resistance (COLD) is measured at less than 1 Ohm, all good. My intention here is to check for an "open circuit" and my current test equipment is not accurate at sub-one Ohm measurements.
To maintain the current condition of this lamp, I have now sealed the original packet within an additional clear plastic packet.
I am not a shop, there will be no further ongoing supply of these lamps - once the stock has found new homes, there will be no more
