HISTORY:
My primary interests have always been electronics and the 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.
I have never really taken to film and am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.
While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm/16mm is not my area of expertise, I am learning fast! and my training in electronics helps too!
If this lamp is of interest to you, it is up to you to establish that this is the correct lamp for your projector
M.O.I. - Film Projector lamp
I have hunted around online in an attempt to find out who M.O.I. is but have come up blank but the person who bought all of these lamps usually only sourced from Japan, Germany or sometimes England.
Country of manufacture is unknown - lamp is unmarked in this regard
Circa 1980's (not sure about this, could be earlier)
Type: hanging filament
I tried to find an example of the filament hanging but there do not appear to be many of these A1/183's around (online at least). The filament in this lamp is laid out indentically to the Sylvania Blue Top's I have, up down up down, whereas I saw one lamp online with the filaments strung in a "sawtooth' manner.
Part # A1/183
250V 300W
Printed (Black) on the bayonet base
M.O.I. A1/183
300W 250V
NEW but the original box seems to be missing, this lamp was sitting in the 'lamp box' wrapped in very very old foam (which had begun to disintegrate!) so I have changed the wrapping to a contemporary Pink bubblewrap (which actually means it is ESD safe, not that makes any difference here) and then sealed within a clear plastic packet so that it remains safe.
I do know that ALL of the lamps I am offering were spares and are NEW, not used or pre-loved!
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW
Old Spare Stock
Packaging is clean
I have checked the lamp, both physically and electrically
NO damage to the Black top, glass envelope or the bayonet base
The DC resistance (COLD) is measured at approximately 14 Ohm, all good. My only intention here was to check there was no "open circuit"
I am not a shop, there will be no further ongoing supply of these lamps - once the stock has found new homes, there will be no more
