HISTORY:
Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything that can be reused or repurposed creates Ee savings and reduces the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.
If you would like to know more about Ee values, please take a look HERE
The bane of every equipment owner/servicing technician - those damn missing knobs!
These are "general purpose" slider or fader knobs, all plastic in plain Black with a White horizontal pointer. Not to be confused with professional slider knobs which most often are rubber coated.
UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER - Slider (Fader) Knob
Country of manufacturer unknown but I am pretty sure these were Taiwan sourced originally.
Material: Plastic
Rectangular female socket for fitting to the slider shaft (dimensions below)
White horizontal pointer line is ONLY across the top, it does not go down either side. It is printed onto the plastic but sits in a "channel", I did notice a couple of these White lines were showing ever so slight "thinness" where you can almost see the Black underneath, just a couple of the knobs are like that and if it bothered the user, it should not be difficult to give the line a "touch up"
Very nice wide ribbed "mouth" which gives good tactile feedback (feels nice to the finger!)
DIMENSIONS:
Measures made with my micrometer, I have no technical drawings for these knobs
27mm length x 16mm wide
Rim of the "mouth" is 9.75mm height and 5.90mm at the lowest point of the mouth (where the White line is placed)
Slider knobs are notorious for "non-standard" fittings so check carefully the information below against either your existing knob or the shaft it is to fit onto
Rear socket fitting (very small but these measurements are "pretty close")
9.75mm x 3.75mm rectangular (outside)
6.75mm x 1.5mm (inside)
The inside socket is rounded at each end and also looks to have 3x tiny "ribs" which presumably assist in gripping the slider shaft
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Old Stock
CLEAN
NO scratching or marks on any knob but as mentioned above, I noticed a couple of the knobs had very slightly "faded" White lines which means you could see the Black underneath - faintly!
These knobs are packed into a sealed, clear plastic packets to keep them in A1 condition.
*** Where the photograph shows multiple knobs, this advertisement is for ONE KNOB ONLY not all that are shown!
