Why bother will all the codes? Over the years we had been offered "el-cheapo" Asian junk (out of spec and often "floor sweepings" that failed to meet specifications) and we often used the coding printed on each IC to track down where they were manufactured after a "bad experience"

Exceptional audio sound quality and these are often found in high quality professional audio equipment, DAC's and quite a number of "high quality" effects pedals such as Overdrives etc
