To many this item is just a used lump of aluminium but I am big on reusing or repurposing old electronic components and hardware, particularly from the point of view of sustainability.

If you can go way back in time, when you opened up a transistor radio for servicing, this type of heatsink would have been pretty obvious in the audio power output section. Usually it had a complimentary pair of Germanium transistors such as the AC127/128 devices fitted.
Probably of little use in contemporary equipment but perhaps there is scope for "repurposing", restoration of equipment or just a nice old piece of electronics nostalgia
