Consider this component as a type of extender, one side has the 8 male pins, with a central "key", the other end of the base has 8 female sockets for a valve but note that this side is NOT keyed. The topside of the body extends upwards 17mm from the female sockets, this may be important to determine if the valve being inserted will have enough height in the base.
