The names Bulgin and Belling-Lee have been around in the electronics industry since the year "dot", known for their attention to quality manufacture.
These panel fuse holders look old but not as old as you might think, but still a very well made component.
I actually double checked if the body was bakelite! It is a type of plastic but "heavy feeling" but the usual Bakelite and smell tests indicated this is plastic.
Note the distinctive end termination used too.
You can see that both terminals are slightly discoloured, this is due to the Silver plating (yes, I have confirmed these are Silver plated) which has become lightly tarnished - always a problem with old Silver, in the world of "old Silver" objects many actually like this tarnishing, called the Patina. In electronics this is not so good but fortunately it is very easy to clean up with a quick rub using metal cleaner.
