Only the spare part described in this advertisement is on offer
The Philips PM series of professional video test pattern generators were "stock in trade" for the professional television serviceman from many years ago.
I like to restore dated equipment where possible but too many cosmetic things were wrong with this pattern generator so it is now being "parted out"
Philips Colour TV Pattern Generator
Model: PM 5519
SPARE PART ONLY, AS DESCRIBED BELOW
Front Panel
Part # 5322 101 44084
Thought this might be useful for a restoration project, not new and not perfect but in my opinion in very good condition.
PM 5519 Front Panel
Metal sheet backing
Screen printed labelling
CONDITION:
Overall, very good
Visible signs of wear at these points:
Just to the left of the PHILIPS word on the top/right hand side - small, short scratch exposing the metal under the black top print
Little "dots" near the RF AMPL control, left side lower - 3 little dots, cleaning did not remove these. No oxidisation on the other side at this point but something has happened to the top paintwork. Not very noticeable unless held to the light "the right way"
Similar issue way over on the left side of the front panel, to the left of and just above where the BL/WH PATTERN selection labelling is located - same little dots, 2 of them. Again not very noticeable unless held to the light "in the right way"
Panel metalwork is straight - NOT bent.
Two other areas which I call NON VISIBLE because when the controls are fitted, these areas are covered by the knobs.
First is the Power On Off switch, left side lower left of the panel. Obvious circular scrap marks - this is caused by the locking ring used on the on-off switch and once the switch is fitted once again, these would be covered and out of sight.
Small metal scratch INSIDE the circular ring marked below the VIDEO AMPL area - this would also be out of sight once the control knob was fitted once again.
Removal of your old front panel should be undertaken with great care. First remove the fixed controls such as the two knobs etc and then once there are no further hinderances to the front panel, VERY GENTLY PRISE THE FRONT PANEL AWAY FROM THE METAL FRAME - Philips used double sided tape to finish off the attachment of the panel to the framework so you are gently prising away the panel from the tape. Slowly and carefully does it and then the panel will lift off without damage or bending.
Since removal from the equipment, I have laid the panel onto a stiff card backing and then sealed within plastic to ensure it remains protected and keeps dirt/dust away from it.
