USED DEVICE "PULL"
TESTED both upon equipment removal (a long time ago from professional sound reinforcement amplifiers) and retested today as a loose component.
Grunty power diode for low voltage, high current power supply applications
I am big on reusing or repurposing old electronic components and hardware, particularly from the point of view of sustainability.
HERE is a page I have created which gives some tables and more detailed information about specific Ee values for different materials plus a link which you can use as a starting point to investigate Ee for yourself.
MOTOROLA - Power Diode
Type: MR871
50A current
100V
Maximum reverse recovery time 0.4uS
Stud mounting (supplied with the nut)
Solder lug termination or as in the original equipment, use a bolt/nut with washers as the solder lug hole is 4mm diameter
TESTING:
Although removed from fully functioning equipment, I retested the diode once out of circuit and all is ok.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
Solder lug terminal has never seen a drop of solder because previously a bolt/nut/washer method of fixing was used.
