Sorting through my boxes of spare parts and I have come across this dual diode from Motorola.
I am "pretty sure" it is an equipment pull and then stored in sealed plastic packets but the device specifications elude me! I have spent quite a bit of time trying to search these specifications but without great joy so the information below is only partial or inferred from the part number.
The series type, type number, diode type and packaging are absolutely correct, 100% - it is primarily the If that evades me and I cannot find any information to confirm the Vrrm (inferred from the part number)
MOTOROLA - Dual Diodes
POWERTAP Series
Part: SBR5455-1
Schottky Barrier Dual Diodes - Centre tap
Vrrm: 55V (Based on the last two numbers of the part number)
If: ???A
I cannot confirm anywhere the If for these diodes but I would expect them to be in the region of 150 ~ 300A based on the packaging used and other very similar dual diodes from Motorola, such as the MBR12050CT, MBR20050CT & MBR30050CT
FEATURES:
Low forward voltage drop, typically 0.3 - 0.4V per junction
Parallel operation is possible to achieve higher currents
175 C junction operating temperature
Guardring
Guaranteed reverse avalanche
Often used in Switch Mode Power Supplies
Package type: 357C-01
Outline:
Top terminal screw required is 1/4-20UNC-2B
I cannot locate any site with a datasheet for this type number or in fact ANY MOTOROLA SBR series POWERTAP devices
TESTING:
Although I no longer have equipment to graph the device characteristics, I could at least confirm the diode orientation and connections - the diagram above is correct and the diodes are definitely Schottky type.
I also have just TWO ONLY terminal screws/washers - enough for one unit only.
