HISTORY:
Removed from an "organ donor" KEPCO BOP 50-8M
As the KEPCO was carefully dismantled (sadly) and I am big on sustainability, I am hoping they can be "re-purposed" in other equipment or customised projects.
UNIDENTIFIED MANUFACTURER - MKT Capacitor
Removed from precision laboratory equipment, the KEPCO BOP 50-80M and this equipment was designed and manufactured in USA and used almost entirely "locally" sourced components so I am strongly of the view that this capacitor is from USA
Type: MKT Foil with resin encapsulation
Value: 0.22uF (220nF or 224 as marked on the cap)
Tolerance: ± 10% (K)
Voltage; 600V
Axial package
DIMENSIONS:
23mm length x 14.5mm x 9.5mm (oval shaped body)
Leads have been cut away from the original equipment and are a minimum of 16mm length to a maximum of 28mm. The majority are the maximum length.
TESTING:
Being a used component, I have tested each of these capacitors:
212.7nF
216.9nF
200.9nF
All are reading on the low side of the design value but ALL are within the tolerance band.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
NO body damage
Leads have been cut cleanly
Leads are shiny with little signs of oxidisation
