It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.

Originally SIEMENS (German "powerhouse" in the world of electronic components and equipment across a wide range of industries) product line but Siemens decided to "get out" of the discrete component market in the late 1990's and formed a new company in collaboration with TDK (AG), called EPCOS which remained based in Germany

TESTING:
Although NEW, these are old stock and I wanted to check their current values
I have batch tested (approximately 50% of them) and all measure on the low side of the nominal capacity in a range 423nF ~ 381nF - all falling within the 20% tolerance band. The majority of those tested (75% of them) are grouped around 400nF ~ 415nF
