THIS SIEMENS ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR IS A "PULL" - REMOVED/WORKING
Ex obsolete (no longer has a useful purpose) W & G DLM-1 Data Test Equipment
The DLM-1 is very typical German professional equipment and uses top class components, high spec and designed/built for reliable operation but alas, there is no market for this equipment (analog fixed frequency 1Khz & 2Khz data send/receive test meter) so I have salvaged what I feel may be components of interest/use for a restoration project or home-brewer.
W&G produced some great audio analysis equipment but the DLM-1 really has no real use outside of the retro telecommunications fields.
It is IMPORTANT to read my information page about both new AND old stock electrolytic capacitors ... please go HERE
Siemens Germany

1000uF 40V DC
Meets the DIN 41247 standard
Complete with fibre washer, metal spring washer and plastic nut
When mounted, the capacitor is totally electrically isolated from the chassis.
30mm diameter x 45mm height
Solder tags at the base
COSMETIC CONDITION:
No issues at all - clean and undamaged
TESTING:
Removed from the power supply but tested prior to equipment dismantling and also checked the ripple on the DC supply.
Many years ago I worked for the Australian distributor of Siemens electronic components (Nexus Electronics) and I clearly remember a library of databooks for all of their components (lots and lots of books - this was pre-internet days) but try as I might, I cannot locate anything online (such as MTBF, absolute ratings. Temp etc)
All I know for sure is that these are a very high quality electro's and designed for long reliable component life.
SPECIAL NOTE: The polarity is not immediately obvious! The orange base has 1 2 & 3 plus - markings
The two solder tags exit from 1 & - and the terminal marked - also seems to be connected to the can (DC resistance zero)
Excellent capacitors but a pity that Siemens didn't make the polarity a little clearer
