PHILIPS - Film Capacitor
TYPE: Polyester Film
Known as "Chicklets"
Part # 341-MC-WC9
Circa 1970's!
Not that the age should put you off, these are well considered caps for their long term stability
VALUE: 0.15uF
630V DC
10% Tolerance
Body markings:
0.15/10/630
341-MC-WC9
All markings are stamped into the Yellow body
Axial leads
DIMENSIONS:
22.9mm Length x 10.4mm x 14.30mm
39mm lead length x 0.7mm diameter tinned wire
Highly regarded for their unique ability to withstand temperatures of -55°C - +125°C without a negligible change in voltage de-rating
Moisture Resistant
Long Shelf Life
Self Healing Properties
Little to no damage with short term overload
Common Applications:
Pulse Circuits
Timing Circuits
Tuned Circuits
Filter Networks
I distinctly remember seeing these in OLD analog communications and audio equipment from the 1970's era
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Old Stock
CLEAN
Leads are only very lightly dull, slight oxidisation only - they will solder fine. These were NOT kept in sealed packs, thus the greater oxidisation but it isn't terrible anyway.
TESTING:
I like to check old stock components, if time permits, and all of these capacitors have been tested. I must admit that my professional LCR meter (BK880) has long since found a new home but my "budget" tester gives a reasonable indication of the capacitor under test.
143.4nF
144.7nF
145.5nF
145.6nF
147.3nF
147.5nF 2x
148.4nF
These readings would suggest the capacitors are well within manufacturer tolerance of 10% and interestingly, all have gone to the "low side"
Stored in sealed packs of one, any available quantity can be supplied
