Ex Australian Broadcasting
Only been used indoors - no water damage
Very nice cable for multiple analog audio and low voltage interconnects
OEM Multicore cable (the sheath is simply stamped as Australian Broadcasting Corporation and would have originally been manufactured to order by an Australian company e.g possibly Bambach)
Ex Studio floor cabling from quite some time ago (analog signalling days)
Cable details:
Length: 23m (75 feet)
Outer diameter: 12mm
Earth/common braided sheath is heavy duty
28 inner cores = 14 twisted pairs of signal lines
The 14 twisted pairs are also twisted in relation to each other within the shield/sheath
The effect of twisted pairs is to greatly reduce crosstalk, RFI and EMI
7 strand wire is used on each core
All cores are colour coded in colour pairs to assist in the identification of individual pairs at each end of the cable
As is standard with such cables, all cores are twisted within the length of cable to reduce crosstalk/mutual interference between signals in each core
Outer grey coloured sheath is PVC but very thick, while remaining flexible, to withstand the rigours of studio use.
This cable was typically used for low level analog balanced audio interconnects and low voltage DC control systems
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NO damage to the sheath at any point
Printed/stamped on the sheath:
AUSTRALIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION
Braided shield is shiny - no oxidisation
All cores are flexible and easy to connect to multi-contact connectors
This cable would have originally been supplied to ABC on tender and subject to Australian Broadcasting technical specifications
If you have ever been seeking high quality multicore cable, you will know the horrendous prices that the wholesalers are asking!
I am not offering this cable "per metre" but as one complete length of 23 metres total
