HISTORY:
I am cleaning up ALL the various leads, patch cables etc that we had on hand hanging around in the general workshop area.
I made it my "job" to always keep a look out for "special" cable that might just come in useful one day. As it turned out, I never used this length of 9728 but that is no excuse to bury it in the ground so I am seeking a new home for this special cable length, suitable for putting together a custom interconnect cable.
BELDEN - Control/Industrial Multi-core Snake Cable
Country of manufacture is not clear, the equipment the original cable was used with is USA designed/manufactured but Belden has world-wide manufacturing facilities.

Multi-core: 4 pairs (8 colour coded conductors)
EACH PAIR has it's own shield, meaning that in addition to the two wires from each pair, there is also a shield wire for each pair
Pairs are 24AWG stranded (32)
Datalene® (FPE) insulation is used for each conductor
Beldfoil® (Aluminium foil polyester tape) 100% shielding used
Colour coding used for the pairs: Blue, Green, Red, White with Black used for the other "half" of the pair
Temperature range: -20°C ~ +80°C
Nominal impedance 100 Ohm
For low frequency use, full data sheets are available but up at 24Mhz the attenuation reaches 3dB
Maximum voltage 300V DC
Maximum current per conductor 2.5 Amp
