HISTORY:
More mystery components from a box of goodies (workshop spare parts) I am sorting through at the moment, but what are the transformer specifications? I have no idea but I will provide as much information as I have been able to gleen on this transformer.
USED Equipment 'pull'
Spare part for audio stages, most likely audio coupling (medium power). I suspect this is a 'special' manufacture but from whom? (he muses to himself)
Low ~ medium level audio coupling for semiconductor circuits not valves.
Standard E iron core with integral mounting bolts on each side, looks to be intended for PCB mounting as it has substantial 0.7mm diameter wires for the connections.
Single winding on each 'side' of the transformer, no taps
UNIDENTIFIED MANUFACTURER - Audio Coupling Transformer
Country of origin is unknown
Part #: 8900-011G (stamped into the top of the frame) 1 15 78 (printed in White across the bottom laminations)
I cannot find a reference to this part number anywhere ... its a mystery!
Primary & Secondary windings are single, no taps
DC resistance test ONLY (not Z) just to check continuity as I do not have much test equipment left these days and am unable to investigate the impedance or frequency response.
These windings are not colour coded, just bare 0.7mm legs orientated downwards
Winding A: 3.6 Ohm (47.5mH)
Winding B: 3.6 Ohm (47.2mH)
My rudimentary test equipment (the good stuff has found new workshops!) cannot read the capacitance between windings which means it is less than 2pF
DIMENSIONS:
This is a small (but not tiny) transformer
26.75mm wide x 19.4mm x 20mm height
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
Equipment 'pull' but which equipment?
CLEAN
Undamaged in any way
15mm length 'legs' give ample scope for board or hard-wired connections
Now that I have taken photographs, made some measurements and written up this advertisement, the transformer has been returned to a sealed clear plastic packet and it will be supplied the same way.
