NOT INTENDED OR RECOMMENDED FOR USE IN AUSTRALIA
There is NOTHING wrong with this step-down transformer, but it was designed for use in Asian countries and has not be tested to Australian standards.
It is being offered to someone who can see a use for this back in Asia - we were going to ship this back to Philippines but then realised they would have little need of it so perhaps someone else wants it.
PANTHER
Model: PT-1500
Input: 220 Volts AC - note the 2 flat pin plug and it is not rated for our 240-250V AC domestic supply.
Output: 110V - 3x outputs
Mechanical circuit breaker kicks in if the current drawn exceeds approximately 15A
NO EARTHING AT ALL
This is an auto transformer, not isolated between primary and secondary.
Nice sturdy steel case with carry handle (you need it, this is heavy)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Very good all round, no broken bits and no dents etc
TESTING:
My test setup consisted of the Grundig variac set to 220V for AC supply to the Panther PT-1500
Output at each 110V socket was exactly 110V - no load conditions
Just for interest, wound it up to 240V input and the output is then 115V on each output.
Checked insulation between the case and the outputs - infinity.
So its a nice unit if you or the family back home have a use for it - for example if relatives in USA sent over goodies which run on 110V then this will allow that equipment to run off the local Philippine 220V supply (when there isn't a brown out!)
