BRAND NEW Old Stock
Ex our workshops, a "left over" from yet another special project many years ago (around 2000)
What do I mean by "double"? (I hear you ask questioningly)
The design of the audio project we were developing required TWO AC transformers, EACH transformer provides 2x 25V AC output under a full load of 4.5A per winding. The two transformers are perched on top of each other and EXPOXED together! It is not a good idea to try and separate these transformers, they are "joined at birth" and to attempt separation would not be a great idea.
Here are the full details of these HARBUCH transformers
HARBUCH ELECTRONICS
Never heard of Harbuch? (If not, it is then likely that you have been living in a cave!)
Harbuch Electronics is a very respected Australian (Sydney) manufacturer of inductor products i.e audio, video and power transformers - their products were widely used in the local broadcast and audio industry. Well known for their very high quality, high reliability products - particularly in the field of professional audio.
HARBUCH ELECTRONICS (Australia) - AC Power Step Down Transformers
Made in Australia
2x Toroidal Core
Part # G2416 (2 off)
Completely isolated, primary - secondary AND the two secondaries on each transformer
2x 240V AC input (one pair of primary connections for each transformer)
4x 25V AC ouptuts (two pairs of secondary connections for each transformer)
Current capability of EACH isolated secondary is 4.5A
Total power that each transformer is capable of comfortably handling is 225VA, so the total for BOTH transformers is 450VA
Photograph of the ID label is not easy to see clearly, here is the details

BRAND NEW Old Stock
Never been used!
These were received into stock, prepared for installation and then we found no need for this "transformer module" (we had a lot of these and had over-ordered)
NO physical damage to the core, windings or the wiring tails
NOTE: It makes no difference in regard to mounting but one transformer is reverse mounted in relation to the other transformer. This was done intentionally.
SPECIAL COMMENTS:
I have checked the winding isolation (primary to secondary and also between secondaries) and also the output voltages on the secondaries on both transformers - all fine, measuring 26.8V AC under NO LOAD conditions on each winding.
Keep in mind the flexibility this "transformer module" provides, it is not just a 4x 25V AC output at 4.5A on each winding available. Connect 3 of the secondaries in series (keep the phasing correct - Harbuch used the first colour on each secondary as "start of winding" so phasing is easy to figure out. With 3x secondaries in series you now have 75V AC available, great for a pretty grunty audio power amplifier AND you still have one 25V winding which can be used for a low voltage single or dual rail supply at the front end of the amplifier.
TWO WARNINGS!
WARNING ONE:
This is a VERY HEAVY TRANSFORMER MODULE, TAKE GREAT CARE LIFTING THIS BEAST! If you drop it onto your feet, bones will break!
WARNING TWO:
SAFETY
When using this transformer module, your safety (and that of others using the equipment once the transformer is installed) is paramount!
You are dealing with 240V AC at HIGH currents (for the domestic scene anyway)
Only a skilled, licensed electrician should be installing and wiring this equipment - this is not something a hobbyist should be playing around with - to do so could be lethal!
A decent Australian approved toroid in this power class will never be cheap and you probably will never see one with a "piggy back" partner!
Because this is unusual, not your usual type of single toroidal transformer, my asking price has been made very low.
I can ship it safely (packed with copious amounts of safety packaging (sheet foam and bubblewrap) within a VERY STRONG outer carton.
