A label on the side indicates this unit is weatherproof - I would take that with "a grain of salt" (be very cautious if you are considering using this mounted externally) as there are no standards mentioned at all, e.g IP66 or similar is not mentioned.
Most often used in alarm installations but fine in other applications where visual alerts need to be given

I have opened the original packaging inside to test the strobe (to make sure it was working, it is!) and then resealed it again
NO damage to the unit

Comes with some minimal mounting hardware (rubber pad and a couple of screws)
NO instructions inside the box, you don't really need them - apply 12V DC and she starts flashing - easy
