The buyer must establish beforehand that this remote suits their own Samsung equipment.
How?
Try looking in the user manual, if you have one.
If the manual is not available, try to see if the remote button layout looks "right" compared to the old remote - a bit hit & miss though.
Fortunately Samsung codes are fairly consistent and even if not the correct remote for your Samsung equipment, often the basic functions will probably still work i.e on-off, play etc
If you are making a personal visit to purchase the remote, bring the equipment (if possible) and try it on the spot!
