The buyer must establish beforehand that this remote suits their own Philips CD equipment
How?
Try looking in the user manual, if you have one.
If the manual is not available, try to see if the remote button layout looks "right" compared to your old remote - a bit hit & miss though.
Please be aware that every single remote sends a unique code to the equipment under control, just because you may have a Philips CD system but it does not mean this remote will control it.
Philips CD Player SPARE PART
Retro
USED IR Remote control
Genuine Philips product NOT a 3rd party copy
Part number: 4822 218 20783 8846
Philips always used a number sequence to identify their products, right down to component level. From memory the 4822 218 indicates a remote controller for audio but I have not been able to match the last number sequence with a specific Philips CD player model (20783 8846)
This remote has basic function buttons to control a CD player i.e Play, Pause, Stop, Back Track, Forward Track, Repeat, Disc - & + (which tends to suggest the player is a multi-CD system) and Shuffle.
Remote only
Clean - although with some very light superficial marks on the front of the cream coloured case
All buttons functioning great
Battery compartment clean and undamaged, this uses 2x AAA batteries
Used but undamaged in any way - tested 100% functional
NOTE: My testing method is to insert batteries and look for the IR emissions from the remote control and ensuring every single button sends out an IR code. I must assume though that the codes being sent are correct, I do not have every piece of equipment that these remotes control here at the house!
Stored/supplied in a sealed plastic to maintain its condition
Batteries will NOT be supplied (2x AAA batteries) to prevent any issues with Australia Post (they are very risk adverse to shipping packages with batteries inside) and also this keeps the shipping weight down to a minimum
