The buyer must establish beforehand that this remote suits their own LG entertainment equipment
How?
Try looking in the user manual, if you have one.
If the manual is not available, try to see if the remote button layout looks "right" compared to your old remote - a bit hit & miss though, particularly difficult if the old remote is missing!
Please be aware that every single remote sends a unique code to the equipment under control, just because you may have a PHILIPS DVD player, it does not mean this remote will control it.
Specific points I noticed on this control is that it has a very simple layout, no numerical keypad and Karaoke conrol
PHILIPS - Remote Control ONLY
Retro
Designed to control a PHILIPS DVD player which has Karaoke functions. Unfortunately I have been unable to track down the player model numbers but can tell you that the numbering of the remotes does NOT necessarily "tie in" with the player model number (thanks for making life tougher Philips!)
All Philips DVD players of this period (about 10 ~ 15 years ago) had model numbers beginning with DVPxxxx but I cannot locate information that ties this remote to a particular model.
USED IR Remote control
Genuine PHILIPS product NOT a 3rd party copy
Part number: RC5620
Remote only
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
NO serious scratches, cracks or other surface damage
ALL buttons are unworn and easy to read
Battery compartment clean and undamaged (no rust or corrosion due to leaking batteries!), this uses just one AAA battery
TESTING:
Being a used remote, I check any remote to the best of my ability
My testing method is to insert batteries and "look" (using my security camera's) for the IR emissions from the remote control and ensuring every single button sends out an IR code. I must assume though that the codes being sent are correct, I do not have this model of HD television STB unfortunately.
ALL buttons on this remote are functioning great!
Stored/supplied in a sealed plastic packet to maintain its current condition
Batteries will NOT be supplied (1x AAA battery) to prevent any issues with Australia Post (they are very risk adverse to shipping packages with batteries inside) and also this keeps the shipping weight down to a minimum
