The buyer must establish beforehand that this remote suits their own airconditioning equipment
How?
This is for some pretty dated ELECTRA air-con equipment, note the lack of any type of user screen which you will find on contemporary controls
Try looking in the user manual, if you have one.
If the manual is not available, try to see if the remote button layout looks "right" compared to your old remote - a bit hit & miss though, particularly difficult if the old remote is missing!
Please be aware that every single remote sends a unique code to the equipment under control, just because you may have an ELECTRA airconditioner, it does not mean this remote will control it.
Specific points I noticed on this control is that it has a very simple layout, buttons on the front but the rear is also "active" although by touch, not a physical plunger button.
Very simplistic pictorial labelling (no text) for the front controls
ELECTRA - Remote Control ONLY
Retro
Designed to control an air-conditioning system but which models is beyond me! There is not any indication of this remote model number nor can I find any online photographs of this particular remote, only much later models.
USED IR Remote control
Genuine ELECTRA product NOT a 3rd party copy
Part number: Unknown - it is not marked on the remote or inside the battery compartment
Remote only
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
NO serious scratches, cracks or other surface damage
ALL buttons are unworn and easy to view
The rear touch buttons labelling is undamaged and easy to understand the functions of each control
Battery compartment clean and undamaged (no rust or corrosion due to leaking batteries!), this uses two AA batteries
TESTING:
Being a used remote, I check any remote to the best of my ability
My testing method is to insert batteries and "look" (using my security camera's) for the IR emissions from the remote control and ensuring every single button sends out an IR code. I must assume though that the codes being sent are correct,
At first glance I thought this may be a "wireless remote" as the front window is flat and I cannot see the emitting LED's but this is definitely an IR remote, the LED's (the lights that send the signals) are behind a dark filter.
ALL buttons on this remote are functioning great! This means the front AND the rear touch controls. I didn't like the "feel" of the rear buttons, no tactile feedback but they do work fine - touch each one and the IR sends out signals
Stored/supplied in a sealed plastic packet to maintain its current condition
Batteries will NOT be supplied (2x AA batteries) to prevent any issues with Australia Post (they are very risk adverse to shipping packages with batteries inside) and also this keeps the shipping weight down to a minimum
