Anritsu PDC Signalling Tester Model MD1623B
Specifically designed for testing of both tx and rx relating to the now obsolete Japanese cellphone system, PDC. Similar (in some ways) to GSM in that it used TDMA, operating in the 800Mhz & 1.8Ghz frequency bands (2G)

PDC is old cellular technology although still in use until 2012, at which time the last Japanese provider turned off their equipment.

Multilayer PCB
Open Frame with one openable diecast shield top/bottom
Some discrete components but primarily SMD
Removeable devices: PALCE22V-10Q (Lattice SPLD)
Board mounted devices: NLC 5010, XLINX XC3042 (FPGA), ADL-100SH (Active delay line), Various HCT Logic
There is 1x sub-section, within a diecast shielding. Removing the shield is easy with 4x bolts from the top going into a tapped hole in the underside shield
Sub-section: Motorola MC1648 (VCO typically running around 225Mhz), Motorola MC1451572 (Serial input PLL), Various 74ACT Logic
TESTING:
Fully functioning prior to removal from the MD1623B in 2020, equipment now obsolete.
Removed, stored/supplied in ESD safety packaging
