Anritsu PDC Signalling Tester Model MD1623B
Specifically designed for testing of both tx and rx relating to the now obsolete Japanese cellphone system, PDC. Similar in some ways to GSM in that it used TDMA, operating in the 800Mhz & 1.8Ghz frequency bands (2G)

PDC is old cellular technology although still in use until 2012, at which time the last Japanese provider turned off their equipment.

Removeable devices: 3x Panasonic Lithium (non-rechargeable) PCB mount batteries 3V BR 2/3A (1.2Ah) tested each of them, all good! Motorola MC68EC040RC25A Ceramic 32bit 25Mhz CPU, Hitachi 4Mb UV ROM HN27C4000C-12 (currently programmed with ROM-0 Ver 2.0), 2x STI 1Mb UV ROM & OTP ROM M27C1001 (currently programmed with Main CPU V1.00)
Board mounted devices: 2x Hitachi HD63484CP98 (Advanced CRT controller), Altera Flex EPF10K30RC240-4 (FPGA), Altera Max EPM9560RC208-15 (FPGA), 2x IDT7204 (Asynchronous FIFO), 10x Hitachi HM628512BLFP-7 (4Mb SRAM 70nS), CY7C109-25VC (high performance SRAM 128k x 8), Hitachi HD63450CP12 (DMA Controller) and a bunch of 74AS & HCT logic.
TESTING:
Fully functioning prior to removal from the MD1623B in 2020, equipment now obsolete.
Removed, stored/supplied in ESD safety packaging
