HISTORY:
Working through the boxes of electronic spare parts I have gathered together over the years, originally this was partnered with the Icom F410 which I have advertised separately HERE
Good solid microphone for use with many different Icom mobile transceivers, I believe this model has now been superseded by the HM-152. Although I had this with the F410, I believe this microphone suits use with many other Icom transceivers BUT it is up to the buyer to establish compatibility with their own equipment.
ICOM (Japan) - Transceiver Microphone
Model: HM-100
Microphone insert: Condenser (NOT a dynamic mic)
Estimated year of release is the early 2000's
Rugged construction with a nice heavy duty "curly cord" and terminated with an RJ-45 plug.
Nice "feel" which comfortably fits into the hand
Easy to operate PTT side button
Clip ring on the rear is included
WEIGHT: 150g
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
NO physical damage at all
NO substantial marks or scratches on the body, only light wear to the rear microphone ID label
Push-To-Talk side button operates easily and smoothly
Curly cord has NO nicks or sheath damage and the coils all have integrity, meaning that the curly cord has not been unduly stretched in the past.
RJ45 boot is intact and undamaged
TESTING:
Tested this HM-100 with both the F410 and another Icom transceiver (because the F410 has an issue with made checking the microphone element impractical)
Both the PTT and speech audio are fine - no problems at all
I have now placed this microphone into a sealed clear plastic pack, awaiting a new owner.
