HISTORY:
This incredibly small mobile colour printer was bought by us a long time ago (I think is was around 2012!) to see what it was capable of and whether we could find some use in our previous business (post audio production) but in the end it was a 'pipe dream' bought on a whim and really of no use to us at all! That's life.
Since those days it has sat in one of my MANY boxes of goodies waiting to see the light of day ... today is it's big day and it is now seeking a new home.
I don't think we ever plugged it in although I don't know where the little packets of paper have gone, so they are not supplied
Here is what I am offering...
POLAROID 'POGO' - Instant Colour Printer (and accessories)
Kit comprises of:
POGO main unit (very small and lightweight)
AC Power supply with plug (still sealed in the original plastic bag)
NOTE: I notice the AC lead which plugs into the power supply is NOT in this packet. To make life easier, I will supply one for the new owner, otherwise you cannot power up this POGO printer (or charge the battery)
Polaroid genuine Li-Polymer battery (2ALT462849-ALP 7.4V 450mA) sealed in the original plastic
Polaroid original user manual (more like a quickstart guide in truth! - there are no technical specs at all)
User guide has a lot of useage diagrams/graphics (communicating with a phone (a very old phone! although inside the main unit battery compartment it says this is a Blue Tooth device), direct USB connection, and guides on how to load paper etc) The rest of the user guide has 15 (yes, 15!) languages warning about battery use mainly - nothing by way of instructions in use.
NO Ink supplied - the front of the printer calls this a ZINK (Zero Ink) printer, so I guess that is why there is no ink!
COSMETIC CONDITION:
This was kept all these years in a sealed plastic bag by me, took it out to give it a good inspection.
The main POGO unit is like new, outside and in - no marks or signs of use at all - it was actually sitting in a section of the original box so that it does not get damaged if moved. While looking it over I was impressed that the WHOLE unit is actually aluminium, not plastic - much tougher when using this outdoors.
The power supply remains sealed as originally supplied
The battery remains sealed as originally supplied.
TESTING:
NONE. I know there was nothing wrong with it as we bought it new, it just didn't suit our purposes (but sometimes it's fun to pickup little gadgets, no matter how pointless they may eventually turn out to be!
I certainly wasn't about to go out and buy some paper to fit this tiny little printer so the kit is offered on an 'as is' basis. I am a 'straight up' guy and I am sure the new owner will be very happy with this little printer although I must say, who really would want to print such tiny little pictures? and the lack of any resolution info worries me a bit too.
Still, this could be a fun gadget for someone to play around with, I guess.
