NEW "Like" Old Stock
Ex workshop spare parts and R&D/manufacturing stock
What on earth does "NEW Like" mean? These have not been used by us but they were purchased and evaluated for some bench-top power supplies and found not to be suitable.
Why not suitable (for us)?
We didn't like the plastic barrel thread, it was too easy to "cross thread" the flexible plastic so we went for another supplier of these (much more expensive but in our case, more desirable) to use in the design
However, these are perfectly fine for "everyday common as muck" use but be careful fitting the nut or you may have cross-thread issues!
Need a different colour of these terminal posts? Easy, just go HERE to see what else I have left
GENERIC - Terminal Post
Country of manufacture is unknown (probably China)
NO markings of any kind on the terminal post to indicate which factory they came from
Material: Plastic body, nickel plated contact areas and nuts
Colour: BLACK
Side entry hole for directly connected wire or use with a U spade terminal plus topside has the Banana plug socket
"General purpose" binding posts
DIMENSIONS:
Top section (the part which protrudes from the panel) 23.5mm Length or unscrew the top section and the length is then 28mm
The diameter of the centre contact area when the top is unscrewed (it cannot be removed completely as it has a stopper) is 4.5mm
Threaded plastic rear of the terminal post is 10.75mm Length and you need a hole 6.75mm diameter. Two sides have a flat spot so if you shape your cutout hole, this will prevent the post rotating once mounted on the panel.
Finally the solder terminal exits at the base, this is a threaded section (with nut) so instead of soldering, a ring terminal connector could be used instead.
CONDITION:
NEW "Like" Old Stock
CLEAN
TWO have the slight cross threading mentioned above .... still perfectly useable but just a little extra force is needed when rotating the mounting nut - the remaining one that I have available is fine, nut moves freely.
NO discolouration to the plastic body
Now packed and stored in a sealed clear plastic packet
