LINEAR POWER SUPPLY (Homebrew) 12V DC @ 1A Compact

Homebrew, this is not a commercially released product

Here is a simply regulated 12V DC power supply which can often come in handy.

Standard configuration comprising of:

M2155 step down transformer

Full wave rectifier

Filter capacitor

Voltage regulator - 12V in a TO3 steel case (Motorola 7812CK)

Output taken via a reasonably long lead to a DC power plug

Green LED indicates power ON

There is NO power on-off switch, plug it in and it is on.

Polarity of the DC power plug is positive to the centre

Very small box but all components managed to fit, construction and safety standard is very good.
