This module provides 24V DC @ up to 5A when used with a suitable stepdown transformer/rectifier supplying the 35V DC input.
Save time putting together the filter and regulation side of a linear power supply, this module is ready to go
Two separate sections - the DC filters and then the regulator/series pass transistor on the heatsink.
These are designed for use with raw DC (NOT AC) which is filtered by a couple of 4700uF electros and then regulated by a UA7824 TO3 package regulator and a MJ2955 Motorola power transistor - these are mounted on a Philips 35D4CB black coated aluminium heatsink.
Module Part a (the filter) measures 140mm x 70mm
Module Part b (regulator) measures 114mm x 102mm
Tested and the output sits rock solid on 24V - raw DC input was 35V
It would not be difficult to adjust the DC input and change the 7824 regulator to achieve a different voltage output, 5 - 12 or 15V OR use a variable voltage regulator for a fully adjustable output.
