HISTORY OF THIS BATTERY CHARGER
My professional and private background is all about electronics, audio and 'The Arts' but NOT really photography or consumer video!
Over the years, I have gathered together a bunch of ancient/retro camera's and accessories (some are very odd looking), not for any particular reason but these bits and pieces seemed to want to live with me! They have been sitting in boxes for years, so I am now testing them (where possible) and finding new homes for them ... time for the "kids" to leave home!
I am big on sustainability and I am hoping very much that someone else may find a use for the accessory described below.
I am not an expert on this equipment but I do like to describe anything I offer as best I can, PLEASE read the description below to read about my comments on this item, whether it works (if I can test it) and my overall impression of the item.
In all cases, this item is offered as a second hand item in 'as-is' condition
For those wondering, my old film based camera's (Box Brownies, Bellows types and more) have all found new homes.

TESTING:
Unbelievable but true! I found the battery used with this charger and IT CHARGES ....
That said, I wouldn't have a great deal of confidence with such an old battery but when I first found the battery it had no charge at all - zip, zero voltage at all
Inserted the battery and the Green LED lights up. After around 10 hours charging, the charging unit Green LED goes off. which is supposed to indicate the charging cycle is complete. I measured the voltage as 5.1V and then checked the voltage again under load (drawing 1A as a test) and the voltage only dropped to 5.0V so it appears that at least it can still deliver a bit of current. I then used this battery to test yet another OLD video camera, the PANASONIC RX10 (very old analog VHS-C handycam which can be viewed HERE (this link is not yet "live"). After testing the handycam over a couple of days, this "test" battery still had full charge - amazing after all these years it seems to perform reasonably well.
One of the photographs shows the RED Power On LED and GREEN charging LED ON (battery being charged)
I will include this battery, although it's reliability is "questionable" even after considering my test use of the battery over approximately 48 hours.
I also measured the voltage at the DC output socket of the main unit and it is spot on at 6V
I am 100% confident that this PANASONIC AC Video Camera battery charger & power supply is fully functioning
Now the I have finished testing and describing this accessory, it is now sealed in a clear plastic packet, along with the AC lead and old battery.
