As removed from my old Richter Predator System - Surround Speakers
These are quite unique from Richter, from the early days of the Predators - the surround speakers in their 5.1 system.
The floor standers/centre have already found a new loving home but the surrounds were not needed and the outer cabinet was damaged so I am parting out the surround speakers.
These are the distinctive surround speakers which were designed so that each speaker in a cabinet is facing 45 degrees from the front or 90 degrees from each other.
Great part for maintenance/repair of your own Richter Predator system or for a completely custom loudspeaker setup.
This is the crossover network for the dual mid-range/tweeter speakers from Richter, model R.TW44 (8 Ohm)
Richter Acoustics (AUSTRALIAN!)
Shame on you! never heard of Richter, have a search online to find out all about this Australian loudspeaker designer/manufacturer who are reknown for their excellent loudspeaker systems at reasonable prices - e.g Wizards. Actually not just loudspeakers, their Medusa valve amp is pretty decent kit as well!
Crossover printed circuit board complete with original leads to the speakers (with spade connectors)
Model: MEOUSA-1 (underneath it says MEDUSA-1)
Straightforward LC filter with a couple of wirewound resistors
Designed to connect/mount onto the back of the cabinet speaker connecting posts.
The two metal strips with holes are 18mm apart
NOTE: because these surround speakers used a special speaker arrangement, the crossover is actually for TWO sets of speakers, each speaker is dual coil - so there are 8 wires hanging off the PCB.
The board clearly indicates which is intended for the Tweeter and Mid-Range and also the polarity.
Excellent condition in all respects
