In our previous professional audio post-production days we tried many different methods of cleaning vinyl records
In the end we ended up with a nice Monk system but along the way we tried many different techniques and tools to do the cleaning job safely and effectively.
This is one of our old cleaning tools
Look around online, a lot of vinyl enthusiasts love these and they are certainly far cheaper than a vacuum system!
If you really care about your investment in vinyl records, take a good look around online - there are a large number of methods/systems available - some are great, most are average and some are downright dodgy.
Watts Parostatik Disc Cleaner
Made in England by Cecil E Watts Ltd
Barely used
This tool is basically a special roller which is held in the hand and run over the vinyl surface, the idea being that it will lift dirt from the vinyl - similar in principle to the rollers to remove lint from clothing.
Inside the Parostatik is a wick and this is kept damp with DISTILLED water - it is easy to replenish this water from time to time
Instructions on the correct use and periodic cleaning of the green roller are printed clearly on the outer tube
Simple but effective, with the side benefit of vinyl surface static removal (which will attract more dust to the record)
CONDITION:
Examined it very carefully - it is in excellent condition. No dirt or marks on the roller.
Inner wick has had the distilled water added today, it is ready to use immediately
