Turntable cartridge with styli and headshell
As in the photographs, I am offering these components as one lot
CARTRIDGE: Ortofon OMB 5
Average budget entry level cartridge which many consider to be the "best of the bunch" in this group of cartridges
Frequency response: 20Hz-20kHz +2dB
Stylus type: Elliptical
Stylus tip radius: 0.3 x 0.7 mil
Tracking force range: 1.5-2.0g (recommended 1.75g)
STYLI TO SUIT - WARNING! hours of use is unknown, it looks "ok" using the Otoscope I have advertised separately however in ALL cases where a styli is obtained "used" then it should be replaced with a new styli as soon as possible otherwise the user risks damaging their prized vinyl with a worn out or damaged styli.
3rd party replacement styli seem to be available for around A$15 online
HEADSHELL: P mount but with an offset. This was fitted to a straight tonearm on a "she's nothing special mate" turntable - AWA branded I think it was
Connections on this headshell are male, to mate with a female socket on the tonearm, with locking thumbscrew
TESTING:
Checked (played some vinyl) prior to removal from the tonearm - all is fine
