SHURE M95ED cartridge (with the genuine USED Styli fitted)
Good tracking and such a beautiful sound from the Shure M95ED. In our audio post production archival facilities we liked this cartridge more than the V15-III but it depended upon the music being played and "personal" choices of the client.
The audio from both channels is clean and in balance - very nice indeed.
A genuine Shure styli is fitted and looking very closely at the tip, it looks very nice - not much time playing down in those grooves. BUT it is old and you can see this with the cantilever, its a bit dirty.
Our studio used to keep detailed records of how many hours use each styli had seen but I cannot locate the sheet for this cartridge, this is why I would recommended getting a new styli asap.
The styli is really only offered for those who can't wait to listen to the music but please please, go and buy a brand new styli as soon as possible, think of your records!
Sit down when you look around for replacement styli though! A good choice is a JICO but that will set you back at least A$150 brand new - not cheap. You can also find many other 3rd party "el cheapo" styli costing much less (around A$40 ~ $100) but you WILL hear a difference in the sound, some are basically "crap"
