I cannot recall which turntable this was removed from, it was a LONG time ago however I suspect it may have been an AKAI entry level model.
These things are all plastic, they break over time or the kids pull the headshell off (!) so I am offering this to someone who has an arm with the headshell assembly missing or partially destroyed!
TURNTABLE TONEARM HEADSHELL
Type P headshell
Complete with the matching tonearm male socket & tonearm wiring
NO cartridge is fitted or supplied
Circa 1980's
Manufacturer is UNKNOWN (Completely unbranded anywhere but I suspect it may have been an AKAI)
The headshell socket is female, gold plated and has 7 "holes" in 3 rows. Top row of 2 is one channel, the centre 3 holes have no connections are are used for alignment with the tonearm and the bottom 2 holes are the other audio channel.
The corresponding plug is male and the same configuration of course. The two components are secured together with a plastic coated brass thumbscrew.
The male plug has the tonearm wiring intact, ready to feed through a new tonearm and these wires are all 300mm in length
COSMETIC CONDITION:
There is no damage to the headshell, the corresponding plug, the headshell wiring with sockets for round cartridge pins or the long tonearm wires.
Now safely sealed in plastic and this is how it will be supplied.
