HISTORY:
Removed from a YAMAHA Tuner, type T-420A
SPECIAL NOTE:
Please look at the photographs, in this advertisement I am offering ONLY the Black plastic complete front panel which contains all of the mechanical actuators for the switches but the switches are on a separately advertised PCB i.e NOT included with this item.
I have separated the two items because so often the front panel switches mechanically fail but the actual PCB mounted switches are fine OR vice versa.
This Yamaha plastic switch assembly is of a better quality than many I have seen but in the end, they will fail after constant pushing over the years. The biggest problem with this type of switch arrangement is that they are manufactured as one piece which means if one switch stops working properly (lost it's spring action) then you need to replace the whole assembly!
Also included on this panel is the sprung power ON-OFF switch and the display clear window.
The usefulness of this module is envisaged to be in circumstances where the has lost its 'springiness' or the face of the button has been damaged.
YAMAHA - Front Panel Control Button Assembly Module
Ex Yamaha T-420A AM/FM Tuner
Mechanical actuators only - NOT the actual electrical switches, they are available HERE
Part # unknown (not specified in the Service Manual)
This is the Black plastic frame which contains the strip of flexible plastic control 'fingers', the clear plastic display window and the power ON-OFF finger which is spring loaded.
NO electrical components are offered, they are separate items to this panel.
The surrounding Black Aluminium surround is also NOT included.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
Unscratched (or cracked!) panel
All labelling is unworn
All buttons operate/move as they should, return 'spring action' is functioning fine.
The display clear window does have a couple of very light marks on it but nothing serious and it is not 'foggy' so that the LCD mounted behind this window can be easily viewed.
I have now packed this front panel assembly into a sealed, clear plastic package to keep it in good condition while waiting for another tuner to "live in"
