AC power transformer mounted on PCB # TB 202111. This transformer and board is mounted on the left hand inside of the case, not on the main PCB.
Wired for 240V AC 50Hz input (Australia & New Zealand)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
PCB and transformer is completely undamaged
TESTING:
The tuner was fully functioning but for cosmetic reasons I decided to part it out. Quite frankly, Rotel make great power amps, preamplifers and CD players but their tuners are "so-so" and nothing extraordinary.
Confused over this part number though ... the Service manual indicates a different power transformer and it is PCB mounted! This TT 291NF is not mounted on the PCB and is mounted on the left hand side of the casing. In fact, reference to other Rotel service manuals indicate this TT-291NF is also used on other models such as the RT-935AX but the secondary colour coding used is different! Very confusing.
6 wires on the secondary side of the transformer, two sets of separate windings plus one wire which is connected internally as an EMI/RFI shield as this shield sits between the primary and secondary windings but has no electrical connection to any winding or the transformer case and its purpose is to reduce mains borne EMI interference when properly grounded.
MEASURED SECONDARY VOLTAGES:
Black - Electrostatic shield (no direct connection to transformer case or any other winding)
Orange - Yellow 4.25V
Red - Green - Red 41V CT (20.5 - 0 - 20.5)
