HISTORY:
This 8" loudspeaker has been removed from a small guitar practice amplifier which was manufactured in India - working while in the amplifier and tested again after removal from the cabinet.
This speaker is NOT a Klipsch's by any stretch of the imagination but it is "adequate" for general purpose, fairly low power capability.

TESTING:
Before removing from the guitar practice amplifier, it was running fine. I carefully removed it from the cabinet and checked again more closely.
NO voicecoil scratching
Movement of the cone is fine
The basket is pressed metal
4x mounting holes around the rim.
I connected this loudspeaker to an amplifier running single tones from a test generator and swept it across 50Hz ~ 10Khz at various power levels, no issues noticed and the loudspeaker seemed to be running very comfortable. I then also gave it some complex music and again, it seemed to be fine although it favoured the low end frequencies.
Since removal from the practice amp cabinet, and my checks are now completed , I have now laid this loudspeaker onto stiff cardboard (cone down) and sealed in clear plastic to ensure no dust contamination
