I am a big believer in sustainability, to reuse just about anything instead of creating more landfill pollution
AND
Energy wastage reduction. Everything that has been previously manufactured required a certain amount of energy to create it - by reusing items we are saving that original energy that was used on the creation of the item.
As removed from JBL J50 Loudspeaker(s) - a set of two is supplied
If not being used in an existing J50 system, these crossovers will be fine in other 2 Way loudspeaker systems, keeping in mind the MAXIMUM audio power should be 50W RMS per channel (J50's are to be driven with between 10W & 50W RMS audio power to achieve their best performance)
JBL Loudpeaker Bookshelf Model J50 (SPARE PART)
PCB part number: MR 5
Crossover Network (includes the 2x spring loaded terminal block)
Tweeter crossover occurs at 2.2Khz
JBL has constructed these something like a sealed unit, so the speaker terminal block is also included. If you didn't need this block, it is soldered directly to the PCB so removal is quite easy.
Flying leads (colour coded) to the two speakers, terminated with female spade connectors.
Dimensions of EACH crossover: 80mm deep x 58mm x 58mm (due to the terminal block)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Clean and without any damage
TESTING:
My J50's died, the usual problem - the 5" driver foam surround fell apart! I didn't consider it worth the effort to replace the surround or the speaker so the J50's have been "parted out"
For testing I used another set of drivers and ran the J50's, listening in particular to the tweeters to ensure correct cross-over was occurring - no problems at all.
Since removal, these crossovers are now sealed in plastic to maintain their condition
