HISTORY:
My experiences with Vifa began back in the late 1980's, some DIY high quality loudspeaker systems were being offered by an electronics retailer and apparently the design of the system was by Scan Audio, a very respected audio engineering company in Australia.
The loudspeaker system was two way, front porting and based on Vifa loudspeaker components. This is the original tweeter used, I am not sure (it has been many years!) but I think the loudspeaker system was labelled the SA-100 and it had VIFA front badges.
I have used that system for years, almost constantly, for listening to all the music I advertise when I am not checking out other loudspeaker systems. I love the "sound" with deep rich bass, drums that sound like real drums and not just a dull "thud" and the highs which don't sound "peaky"
The mids were great too, a smooth response across the whole mid-range of frequencies. This tweeter does a great job.
Why am I parting out my tried and trusted audio friend? We have had rain, lots and lots of it, and I discovered during one storm that water had run down the wall INSIDE the house and worked its way over to the floor standing speakers - OMG! I dried them off (it wasn't deep water but enough to make the base of the speaker cabinets damp) and hoped for the best. Well, over time the cabinet particle board has expanded and is now crumbling at the base. It looked terrible and I decided it was time to change loudspeaker systems after all these years so now I am running some Aaron's (Australian) and Dali's (Denmark) and the parts from my Vifa loudspeaker system are seeking new homes!
Oh, and yes, there is NOTHING wrong with this tweeter ... see full details below
VIFA (DENMARK) - Tweeter (1)
Model: D25AG-35-06
Metal (Aluminium) dome
Impedance: 6 Ohm
Butterfly voice coil
Magnetic fluid
Frequency range: 1.5Khz ~ 35Khz

This tweeter differs from the earlier D25TG-55 with it's metal dome and protective cover.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Absolutely NO damage to the dome or the surround (that means no marks, no nicks or collapsed dome)
Rear terminals are undamaged using spade connectors 3mm wide or these can be soldered direct connections
3x screws allow for the removal of the front black plastic flange, exposing the tweeter itself
DIMENSIONS:
Front flange: 104mm diameter
Rear is 70mm diameter
Front to Rear depth of the loudspeaker is 40mm
Mounting holes 4
Hole to Hole distance (direct) 67mm
I have just one of this model tweeter available but advertised separately is the much earlier D25TG-55 which has very similar physical dimensions but is of a construction. I retro-fitted this tweeter to one loudspeaker cabinet (exactly the same size tweeter for mounting) some years ago because I had destroyed one of the original D25TG-55 tweeters during tests many years ago and I burned out the original D25TG-55 tweeter voice coil as a result)
You can see the other VIFA Tweeter, model D25TG-55 HERE
Since removal from the loudspeaker cabinet, this tweeter has now been placed "dome down" onto a stiff cardboard sheet and then sealed in cellowrap to keep out the dust/dirt.
