Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.

TESTING:
Working fine, don't expect the world from such a small loudspeaker but the test results were surprisingly good! Nice clean sound with a focus on the 'highs' of course, low end response cannot realistically be expected to be great from such a small cone although the 'travel' was long and the loudspeaker did try it's best, even at low frequencies.
Nice unusual (being rounded) small loudspeaker system which particularly suits small spaces for 'casual' listening - these cannot compete with decent, much larger loudspeaker systems. That small 3" loudspeaker works it's little heart out trying to give you the best possible sound!
I have found online a review and a video (with a lot of chit-chat!) of what you could expect from these loudspeakers
Review of the complete system HERE
Please note that I am only offering the loudspeakers, NOT the complete system
COSMETIC CONDITION:
This is where some work is required, that is if the 'look' bothers you and it is intended to restore them to their former glory.
The round wooden case has obvious knocks & marks but none of the wood material (looks like a compressed composite timber - not natural) is broken or missing. JVC has had a Brown (Mahogany like) stain applied and then a top clear protective coat. To restore, this original coating will need to be cleaned off as much as possible, re-stained and a top clear coating applied.
Both loudspeakers have their JVC badges, these are those plastic 'metalised' coating type of badge - not real metal.
The semi-circle front grille is all plastic, none of the frames are broken or damaged HOWEVER one of the cloth like grille's does have a small hole (look for the Black patch in the photograph) Replacing this material could be a challenge as it is tightly stretched over the frame.
Both sets of spring loaded terminals are in good condition and work fine.
Both loudspeakers are completely undamaged in all respects, no holes in the cones nor damage to the rubber ribbed surround. The loudspeaker is actually quite heavy as the mounting plate IS solid metal, as is the rear magnetic shielding can.
Perfectly useable as they are now OR if you just can't stand the current appearance, not a big job to clean them up to look very presentable once again.
