Jands (Australia) 3 Way Crossover Network PCB's (loaded)
JANDS is identified on the copper side of the board but no model or part number
Mid range crossover adjustable design using a front mounted pot
Until recently, these boards were installed in a couple of large PA system bins - working fine
BUT
These boards have been designed with flexibility in mind, there are multiple board holes for additional capacitors in particular.
I believe these boards were designed by Jands with LC design flexibility in mind - this is great for those who wish to experiment with their
crossover networks.
The two boards differ slightly in components (capacitors) installed and as offered, do each does sound different - see the rough schematic in the photograph for the current layout.
NOT shown on the schematic diagram is the MOV's fitted in series with the Tweeter output (protection)
Both boards have an external Mid Range crossover adjustment potentiometer (high power)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Both boards are in very good condition, no bad or damaged tracks
There are multiple PCB holes for additional capacitors - perfect for those who wish to sit down and design their own 3 way crossover networks.
TESTING:
These boards were installed in a working PA test system although the frequency response of each board is different due to the different capacitors installed on each board
Components common to both boards:
3x inductors - 2mH, .76mH and the smallest inductor is unmarked/unknown value
1x Large wirewound potentiometer 40 Ohms - tested and working
2x 47uF Electrolytics (POLARISED) wired in parallel, back to back - one board has 160V caps and the other 350V caps
Various high voltage poly capacitors to determine the characteristics of the LC network frequency response to the 3x speakers
The compliment of capacitors is NOT the same on both boards, some capacitors have been removed on one board - this is why the two boards do not operate identically (at the moment)
The multiple PCB holes allow for adding additional poly capacitors in parallel
Each PCB measures 220mm x 160mm x 40mm high
The large pots measure 65mm diameter x 30mm deep - standard 1/4" shaft
