WHITE INSTRUMENTS (USA) EQ
Model 4710
SINGLE channel - this is NOT a 2 channel device, to work on two channels you would need to have 2x 4710's working together.
Technical specifications and facilities are extensive.

Rack mount
Front panel display with full access to frequency response via the triangular keypad and the other 3 buttons, Function, Menu and Enter.
On the rear, the signal outputs are balanced but by strapping one side to ground you have an unbalanced input or output if you prefer this.
Remote control both in and out via two D connectors on the back - usually these will go off to a 4703 control unit.
TESTING:
As this unit has been in storage, I connected everything and fired it up.
Everything performs perfectly EXCEPT the LCD display has been "pushed" a little which means, yes you can read the display clearly still but some characters disappear which makes it just a bit harder to read!
Example, I pushed way too much audio into the unit and the display shows CLIPPING - but actually it displays CLIxxING - bits of the P are missing because of this display damage.
Its not black in this display area, just doesnt show the characters properly - looks to me like someone has pushed here with their thumb!
But even with this display issue - absolutely perfectly usuable and I could easily read off all the menus and information on screen.
Just one issue with this display - no backlight - this makes it a bit hard to read in low light conditions e.g gigs
The control of your sound is fantastic - you can step up from 0Hz to 16Khz in 100Hz - 200Hz steps with a full plus/minus 10dB range either side of zero.
Especially good to pull out room resonances - say you have a "bump" in frequency response at 2250Hz - just dial it up, set the response to -10dB and you will wack out all the sound at this frequency
Of course it can be used as a general purpose EQ but it is capable of so much more than that.
It has user preset memories, overall gain control, sledge-hammer style low pass and high pass filter settings are easy too plus much more to play around with.
Standard 240V power, lead is supplied.
